Abstract

Our main objective was to analyze the factors influencing the young people of ZS NGABA, precisely those of AS mukulua, to tobacco consumption during the period from December to febuary2022 and that the entourage, stress, curiosity, and certain socio-demographic characteristics such as age; gender, level, of education. Thus, the survey method, the guided method, the guided interview, and the non-probability or occasional sampling enabled us to describe the socio-demographic and economic parameters of the respondents, to collect their opinions of the respondents on tobacco consumption.

The total number of the target population is10383inhabitants and the sample size was 384 subjects after calculation. The type of study was descriptive cross-sectional with an analytical aim. Data processing was performed in excel or data were entered, coded, cleaned, and exported to SPSS 20.0 for analysis. We arrived at the following results: 96% of respondents got information about tobacco through the entourage, 321 or 83,6% of respondents said they had smoked dot 107 or 33,3% of respondents said they had smoked because friends smoke followed by 94 or 29,3% who smoke for the pleasure and taste of tobacco while 23 or 7,2%underlined other reasons. the first hypothesis of our study is confirmed. The results found show that the environment, curiosity, and stress influence tobacco consumption among our respondents.
