Abstract

The need and desire for higher education are increasing and the number of international students going abroad continues to be in high demand. In addition, the competition in higher education in the world has gained a global dimension by exceeding the borders of countries. However, some countries are preferred by international students as places of study. At this point, the TRNC is seen as a country that attracts students, and most of the students coming to the TRNC come from African countries, the Middle East, Central Asia, and Turkey. According to Tomlinson, (2008), the importance of higher education in the development of a nation has never been in doubt all over the world. Therefore, this article examines the factors affecting the higher education demands of Nigerian students studying in the TRNC.
