It should be noted that recent studies agree that the Banana deep-water port is a strategic project for the DRC, aimed at strengthening its economy, reducing its dependence on neighboring ports, and stimulating international trade. Both domestic and international investments demonstrate the importance of this project for the country’s development. The completion of this major project constitutes a major asset essential to strengthening national cohesion due to the influx of a national workforce of all origins and backgrounds expected to work in the new economic zone. Indeed, the Banana deep-water port (PEEPB) would trigger the development of several other related activities requiring a large workforce. Furthermore, this facility could serve as a pivot for the added value of interconnecting the provinces and their communication routes downstream of the port investment. This would undoubtedly contribute to the intermingling of Congolese populations, and therefore to national cohesion and the comprehensive development of the community and independence from neighboring ports.
Il convient de noter que les études ressentes s’accordent à dire que le port en eau profonde de Banana est un projet stratégique pour la RDC, visant à renforcer son économie, réduire sa dépendance vis-à-vis des ports voisins et stimuler le commerce international. Les investissements tant nationaux qu’internationaux, témoignent de l’importance de ce projet pour le développement du pays.
La réalisation de ce grand projet constitue un atout majeur indispensable au renforcement de la cohésion nationale du fait de l’affluence d’une main d’œuvre nationale de toutes origines et de tous horizons appelée à travailler dans la nouvelle zone économique. En effet, le port en eau profonde de banana (PEEPB) serait un déclencheur du développement de plusieurs autres activités connexes nécessitant une main d’œuvre abondante. En outre, cet ouvrage pourrait servir de pivot sur une plus-value de l’interconnexion des provinces et leurs voies de communication en aval de l’investissement portuaire. Ce qui contribuerait indubitablement au brassage des populations Congolaises, et partant de la cohésion nationale et le développement intégral de la communauté et indépendance aux ports voisins.
